Being the Strong Man a Woman Wants
I received a recommendation on Being the Strong Man a Woman Wants by Elliott Katz. I opened it and as I began reading, I saw that none other than Dr. Robert Glover, the author of No More Mr. Nice Guy had written the foreword. The book is excellent. It's written in the context of a grandfather giving sage advice to his grandson, who is struggling in his marriage. The first chapter is "If you don't lead, I can't dance," a quote by the grandmother. The book is a well-written page turner, and it has a lot of wisdom. The grandson is the prototypical nice guy. Women in the book talk about needing the man to lead, without being controlling. It has many quotable ideas, such as "A knight in shining armor wouldn't say 'you decide.' It does a good job of debunking the idea that "leading" is equivalent to "controlling." I love the way he cites his sources clearly.
I will say, this book is excellent and I look forward to reading it more than once.
I would love to hear from people who have read this book.
