Well, I simpply cannot aford to pay the dating sights, so I stick to free ones. I tried several dating sight and they truelly seem to have different kind of people on them.

Connecting Singles) seems to be a nice and pretty active one. I personally ike it inspite of not so good graphic design. They have emails, you can send flowers/chocolate (pictures) with short notes to other members or chat trough that dating sight. There is a feeling of community, and the kind of people on it seem to be more serious than what I experienced on other sights (they are seeking relationship not only sex partners). They also have a possibility that poeple from the sight give points to your pictures. This helped me to choose which photoes to leave in the profile and which one to change. I have to admit, that I did have chances to meet scammers on this sight too, but the sight gives very detailed information about how to identify and deal with them. Since I started to follow their suggestions for safe online dating, it takes short time to sieve the scammers and not serious men, so I dont loose time.
I think that online datiing does demand, time and really one needs to search trough quantity ( contacting, meeting many, many men) to really find those few who are treully interesting. I guess this is with all dating sights.
I must say that you , Dan and Jennifer, were a great help to me, too. Once I edited the text of my profile in a way that follows the suggestions you gave here on your web sight, different kind of men started contacting me , more serious types. I am feeling very enthusiastic right now, because few weeks ago, I met a nice man on this sight and he is comming to meet me all away from an other country next week, and so far so good...keep your fingers croessed.
