I love seeing things where BBWs are put in a positive light. I'm one, and proud of it! It is hard to come out of your shell, as a big girl in a skinny world. I remember in 4th grade a friend of mine told me I shouldn't wear shorts anymore because my legs were too fat! That's devastating to a 10 year old. It took me almost 10 years to recover from that, and allow myself to wear clothes that showed some skin (although getting a couple of tattoos helped too, wanted to show off my ink..) Now I enjoy it!

Great post!! I am a BBW and I've found that just because you are plus sized doesn't mean we can't be sexy. I've been told by many men that they prefer meat on bones that just bones. Even the men that claim they don't like a BBW, may have a hidden attraction that they are afraid to admit to, because their buddies may take a crack at them.

So, stand tall with confidence and show off all of your lovely curves. I do and have never had trouble meeting men!!! :p

I really appreciate this post. As of late I have dealing with my weight, and it kind of turned into a complex. Earlier this year I had a baby and six weeks later I broke my leg really bad. I had to have a rod put into my leg, which limited my exercise. As I have gotten older losing weight has been a big problem for me. I wasn't sure if my husband was attracted to me anymore. I asked him one day if he felt attracted to me still, and he still felt very attracted to me no matter how small or big I was. I guess that is all that counts. I am starting to get over my complex but it hasn't been easy when you see so much of media telling you otherwise. So, long as you are happy with yourself and your partner has no problem, who cares what anyone else thinks? I think I'll be ordering some sexy plus-size lingerie tonight.
Do any of you ladies know where to find inexspensive plus-size lingerie?;)

My mother and older sister are both beautiful, big women. My sister can turn heads with a simple smile (literly) and my mother can dance like no other belly dancer. I however sucked up all the metabolism genes, and therefore skinny. :rolleyes:But refering to the media, almost every other commercial is about losing weight. Most of the people on those commercials are either skin on bones or a little too fake.
Anyway, may the Goddess of Big Beauty roll curves upon our bodies.;)
