Can you go to a Swinging Party and just hang out?

Ok, so I have been going back and forth on the idea of swinging with my husband. I have looked online and found this swingers dinner and dance party being held in a hotels dinner/convention area. Do many couples go to this sort of thing?

Here's the thing, I just want to go to sorta see what its like without actually doing anything. More to just see if it would be something for us. Can you go to these sort of things knowing that you arent going to get intimate with another couple, just to see waht its all about?

To tell you the truth, the idea of going kinda terrifies me, but at the same time, i am really curious about what its all about.....

anyways, I just want to get all my facts in line before making any decisions..... (i havent even really talked about it with my husband, I know that he likes the idea of a threesome, but i have no idea how he would react to it)

Any advice/tips/whatever would help...

Everybody who swings had to start somewhere and you're more than likely not the only person who has gotten nervous about the idea. Have you tried getting in contact with the people who are setting up this party/dinner? If you haven't, that's probably the first step to take.

You should contact the hosts of the party and ask them about how many couples generally attend their parties, if it is couples only or if they allow single guys, if it is on or off premises, and is it the sort of party that welcomes those new to the lifestyle or is more geared for the experienced swinger. But remember, no matter where you go you NEVER have to do anything you don't feel comfortable with and know that if an environment makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, you can always just leave :-)
