Yes indeed. It's definitely safer to use a condom during oral sex. You can get or even give nasty std's through oral sex, and a condom helps provide some protection.

Yes, but it might be difficult for the guy to have an orgasm through oral sex (with condom) and you might have to resort to a hand job. Part of the pleasure for guys in receiving oral sex is feeling the wetness and the actual flesh.

It is understandable why you want to avoid STDs, of course. But if he can't orgasm don't be surprised.

I'd say try it with a condom and see what happens, if it really is a problem that he repeatedly can't orgasm then deal with it. Better to be safe and try your options first.

I've never personally had a problem with OR without a condom; it's the women that usually have more difficulty reaching orgasm since they usually require more warm-up time; guys tend to be much faster and "easier" - saying this as a guy. :)

Note that as another option (aside from a condom) - however usually recommended for performing oral sex on a woman, you can get a "dental dam".

A dental dam (in this context) is defined by Wikipedia as follows:

dental dams are most commonly recognized for their use during cunnilingus and analingus, to protect against the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. An unpunctured dental dam may be held over the vulva or anus, allowing oral stimulation of these areas without transmission of bodily fluids.

A condom definitely limits the sensations. Personally, I find it much easier to orgasm through intercourse than through oral sex. This is true even with a condom.

Perhaps the most important thing is to know something about your partner and their sexual experience. Have they used protection? Has he/she been tested? This will also give you some guidance.

At the moment of intimacy, it may be difficult to say no. But you could end up with something affecting you for the rest of your life.
