Does the amount you masturbate, affect the growth of facial and chest hair?

I am 18 and masturbate on a frequent basis (3/4 times a week). I cant seem to grow any facial or chest hair and I read on a website that the more you masturbate then the less amount of facial, chest and bodily hair you will grow. I dont know whether to believe this or not which is which is why I am posting this thread.

Please help!

Hair growth is a function of hormones. 94 to 96% of teens masturbate. Since hair varies drastically person to person, I doubt there's a connection. I actually looked on the NIH (National Institute of Health) database, and there arent' any systematic studies, but I can't imagine it making a significant difference. Hair growth is a function of hormones, so I doubt there's a link.

3-4x/week isn't what I would describe as "frequent." I'd say that's within the average range.

It should have no effect. Hair growth is genetic.

It is mostly genetic, although to me it seemed to work. :D

Trust me your not missing out facial hair sucks to shave if you ask me.

I don't think it's been proven that there's a link between masturbation and hair growth but of course I'm not an expert at this.

No, sorry I may have not been too clear. Masturbating seemed to me at least seemed to increase the amount of hair growth.

I'm 51 and I've masturbated almost every day since I was 10.
I guess I would be completely covered with hair at this point of my life. LOL

I agree that body hair is genetic and if no one else in your family has a lot of body hair then you probably won't either. If you're really concerned about this - talk to your doctor. He or she will run some blood tests, etc. to see if you have any hormonal imbalances. Don't be embarrassed - 3-4 times per week is not excessive and well within the range that's considered normal.

It's a myth. Like the others about hair falling out, growing on your palms and losing your eye sight which are also false. Think about it, if they were true, then the world would be made up of blind men with hairy palms. :D
