Seems to me that you are just try to hard in a small way. Im not gonna say be you're self cause you are being you but you are being "to" friendly.
Try to come to a diffrent approach to women and u can still be friendly and careing, but try to be more romantic show that you are interest and want to be more then a friend and try not to over do it cause some women thinks that "to nice of a guy" is just trying to get in there pants. just be you but with more emotions and feelings.:cool:

Well, that's the thing. Even with romance it ends up happening. It basically all goes back to the quote, "A woman has a close male friend. This means that he is probably interested in her, which is why he hangs around so much. She sees him strictly as a friend. This always starts out with, you're a great guy, but I don't like you in that way. This is roughly the equivalent for the guy of going to a job interview and the company saying, You have a great resume, you have all the qualifications we are looking for, but we're not going to hire you. We will, however, use your resume as the basis for comparison for all other applicants. But, we're going to hire somebody who is far less qualified and is probably an alcoholic. I've been told I'm a really romantic guy; Not suprisingly by these very same girls. It's kind of like they're taunting me. :confused: They'll tell me everything they like about me and nothing they don't.

Well it seem that you need to man up to the situation and solve it you're self and show then that you are there and not just as a friend.

Manning up is good advice. I've been trying to do that, but then I get this burning feeling in my gut that just ruins me.

Well you need to start ignoring those feelings and cause you never know the real awnser until you actually ask. Follow you're instinc and just ask.
I'd rather get turn'd down by a girl then be turn'd down by my own mystakes. so man up, you said you have been trying to man up but saying and doing are two diffrent things.

Getting put in the friend zone comes from a laundry list of issues-it's not ONE thing that you need to work on, it's a lot of things. That makes it difficult to answer the question because not a lot of information is being given here.
