Ask Dan & Jennifer

There is a girl, let's call her Alyssa for name's sake, who I have a really strong attraction to. I've been friends with her ever since fifth grade and started feeling attracted to her shortly afterwords. I opened up to her about it in roughly seventh grade however she took it the wrong way and started to pull away. She moved across the state in ninth grade but came back towards the end at which point we became friends again. My problem is that, even though I really like her, and we have done "things" in the past, she doesn't seem interested in me the way I am her. Is this worth further persual?
