Either bite the bullet or forget about it. However, if he really is homophobic, the only question is why? It's surprising how many homophobics there are which are themselves gay. They just don't want to admit it.
Has he had a girlfriend/boyfriend? If neirther, then the best course of action would be just to say how you feel.
Advice: as you said, you joke around. Try adding something like this into a joke. (Be warned; it can scare the life out of the recipitent. I used to have a gay friend, who apparently had feelings for me. Unfortunately, I was brought up to believe the negative load of lies (not my first choice of words, I just do my best not to swear) about gays etc. I still feel guilty about what I did.) The relevance of that story is-don't just accept a 'no' immediately at face value. It is never certain. Stay friends with him if he says no.
However, if he has had a girlfriend, then sorry, but give up. If he was close, he's probably straight. if they weren't, he's too homophobic to admit he's anything else. If you're wondering why i'm not saying he might be bisexual, it's because male bisexuals are incredibly rare by comparison to any other orientation.

Actually he hasn't had any relationship yet. I mean he had never had any boyfriend nor a girlfriend.He's hompophobic in a way that he teases the gay/lesbian gender. He reacts so much when there's a topic about homosexuality brought up in class. I'm not really sure if he's gay or anything but there's some things I sense that he likes me but not sure if he likes me as a friend or a partner in life.

One thing he actually does is when no one else is around except me and him, I like joke around with him but when people start leaving the class, he goes to me and starts to hug me. I'm actually used to this by the way because he always does this. But whenever a person is gonna show up or when a person shows up, he quickly detaches himself from me:) I feel that he's just hiding him being gay or liking me.

What do you think about it? I need advice because I don't want to simply assume :D

1: How does he tease the issue of orientation? This isn't necessarily homophobia.
2: How does he hug you? It could be that, if he is homophobic, he's simply friend-hugging, but doesn't want it to be misinterpreted.
Sorry for the sea of questions, but there are lots of possible motives behind the actions in situations like these.

Well, he teases the issue like... he calls someone gay or he thinks is gay..then won't stop nagging the person. And whenever someone does something girly and such, he would start calling them gay or something.

Well, he hugs mostly from behind. But sometimes he hugs me in the front (what i meant is he's infront of me). He also says, "Love you, XXX (suppose to be my name)" then he goes away... I don't if what he's saying is the authentic love I know or just the friend love... I feel kinda depressed about it though.

Now, I don't get hugs anymore due to the fact that we're on summer vacation. I wanted to IM him using my messanger but I'm kinda bothered that he might think I'm into him (which I don't want him to find out just yet), and when he does find out so soon, he might you know, just avoid me and all. I know you really can't predict the future but it still does bother me.

From what I understand, hugs from the back are usually 'friend hugs'.
Front hugs indicate a higher measure of closeness-not necesarily love.
Unfortuneately, he seems to be jeering at homosexuals and, although he is saying 'gay;' instead of the more offensive terms (at least, that's what i assume) he's drawing a line between him and gays. Therefore, he is probably heterosexual. If he is using moree offensive terms, he may be homophobic to a large degree.
The best advice I can think of is: He's either homophobic or homosexual-which are surprisingly often mixed up, especially if society there is against same-sex love.
Joke around, tell him how you feel. If he acts scared, say you were kidding. If he asks if you're serious, say yes. From there, he either says yes or no. If he says no-say you were kidding, again. If he says yes, then it's paid off. Try to arrange a moment where both of you are alone before you say this-otherwise peer pressure will make him say 'no'.

I wanted to try what you suggested but I really can't do it. Maybe I guess I lack the will to do it. I was looking for another solution maybe because I'm not really an actor and I'm the type of person who people take seriously, so I'm not really sure if I could joke around with him.

Then for the past month, I've been really doing my best to forget about him. I was actually doing a pretty good job. Until the night when I decided to check on my multiply (its a website more like MySpace and Facebook)account.

I usually do blogs on that account and the person I really like, rarely uses that blog machine. But then on the "fated day", in my update box, I saw him reply to 3 of my newest blogs. Kinda reminded me of him, so I got really hurt and cried myself until I was so tired and got to sleep. Maybe I was thinking that when he replied to my blogs, he liked me... I dunno maybe I'm just imagining stuff. I mean, I'm the only person he replied to with all those blogs, he doesn't even reply to the blogs of his friends in Multiply... What do you think about this?

You do seem to be reading a bit too much into it; people in love always seem to search for even the vaguest sign. If I were you, I'd follow Rob's advice.

He isn't necesarily heterosexual, even if he does make slightly homophobic jokes; I used to make similar jokes and now I'm a (fairly blatant) bisexual transwoman. You never can tell.
