how did you ask her to the dance?

I was wondering how to ask a girl to the prom coming up in a few months and i want to know how to ask someone to it.

I want to know how you guys asked her out to the dance, if its just someone you know, NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND.

I see someone that i want to ask, twice a day in two classes, but don't really talk to her that much, and i don't know how to get her alone and ask her to the prom?

Also, if i wanted to ask someone else to the dance, but i don't see her at all during the school day and i don't know when/how to ask her?

ALso, is it appropriate to ask a girl over the phone, the person that i don't see at all, i have her phone number and i will be able to call her if i need?

You just strike up a conversation and ask. You can tell by a girl's body language if she's interested.

Inviting a girl out by phone (or letter or carrier pigeon) is perfectly acceptable. In person is better, but if you don't see her then a phone call is fine. It's better if you have a strong basis for conversation before you ask her to a major event. One good way is to invite her for a coke or ice cream and then if she's warming up to you bring up the subject of the big event. Just treat it like it's no big deal but let her see you're enjoying her company. Be friendly and she' ll warm up to you and then you can ask her "Would you like to go to the dance?" Forget about all the stuff you see on tv. Just be yourself and ask her. Remember, she's nervous too.

So she feels comfortable around you. Face your fear of rejection. The fear of rejection is much much stronger than actually being rejected. Talk to your best friend first so you can get in a relaxed mood, then do your 5 conversations in one week. Then ask.
