How do I approach a girl and talk to her in a buisy working environment?

I met this girl at my work and I almost always say hi to her when I see her (which isn’t very much considering we hardly ever work the same days). A few months ago my co-workers said that she likes me and wants to talk to me but work is very busy all the time so at work I have no real oportunity to talk to her . A few more months have past and now it seems like she is no longer interested in me because we have never gotten into a conversation :(. she goes to a different high school than me and is a year older than me so I get really shy and nervous when I’m around her because I am very attractive to her. I am really starting to get mad at myself because time is passing and it seems like shes loosing interest and moving on to other guys :mad:. what should I do?
should I ask her right off the bat and say
"hey (whatever her name is) I’m so bummed,
work is so busy and we never get to talk, give me your number and I’ll take you out on a date this week and we can get to know each other.”
I need some advice please!:confused:

I think you just answered your own question. As I was reading your situation, I was going to suggest asking for her phone number. No matter how busy you are, if you really want it, you can find an opportunity to find just one minute when you're not always in a hurry. But skip the part about the date. Just get her number first.

I completely agree with YourEternalRest. You answered it your self, ask her for number and get to know her over the phone. Being in different schools isn't too much of a problem. Me and my current GF where and still are going to different schools. It works out pretty good in my opinion.

You could also ask your co-workers if they think if she still likes you. Or you could have them ask her for you if that is an option. I highly recommend this if you are comfortable with it.

Let me give you this for warning though. If you are going to date her and shes from work there is possibly going to be things that are going to bug you. It happens to me here and there and they can be terrible. You also may be over protective I don't really know but I'm just letting you know ahead of time before things arise.
