How many times should a couple date another couple ?

Since swingers like to thrill with NEW experiences. Some couples seem to think that 3 times is the limit in date-ting another couple. The owner of the Red Rooster swing club in Las Vegas says that he has had sex with 9k women. And that he and his wife only date another couple 3 times. In order to keep swinging NEW. But is this practical for ordinary swinging couples that do not own a club like the Red Rooster Club in Las Vegas ?

Judy. It sounds like he's found something that really works well for him. I don't think that's an indication that the same thing will work for you and your partner. Just like I doubt my glasses would work for you. Each person and each couple have to figure out what's right for them.

I'm not sure why "three" would be a magic number. Obviously, his goal is to "score" large numbers, so not spending a great deal of time with one person makes sense in that light. That doesn't sound like your goal. It sounds like you and your husband are wanting to enjoy each other and playing with other couples. Any of these cookie-cutter solutions aren't likely to be right for you and him. You and your husband have to decide what rules and procedures are right for you. I don't think anyone else can set those limits for you.

Although I can't come close to that figure in my story, there is one figure I was definitely grossed out by... 200. My little search for friends (first and foremost) led me to an conversation with a "gentleman" that boasted he was with over 200 women. Reason why he devulged his "figures," was because I disclosed my current conquest numbers... ONE (my lovely wife).

He laughed, of course and I didn't care. Fact is, he grossed me out. There is no way in Hell, a guy like that would come close to my wife.

We are really only looking for friends that want to be friends. Not exclusives, but comfortable, dependable, and most of all... SAFE people.

Anyone who has been with that number of women has to be extremely lucky (not to have contracted something) or full of shit. I'd rather not risk it.

I completely agree. Having been with 200 people grosses me out too. Everyone has their own comfort level so do whatever makes you comfortable. I would avoid anyone who sounds like they are bragging because you never know if they really have been with that many people or are just trying to sound like Hugh Heffner.

If meeting another couple and "dating" them a few times first works for you - then that is the way to go. I for one couldn't just have relations with people I just met, I would want to get to know them a little, have a few drinks, chat and maybe after a few time, go for it if the attraction is there.

Not sure if that helps, but it's how I would handle that.
