How much do fetishes matter?

I am currently going out with a girl who I am very attracted too. We are very close emotionally and get on really well together. The only problem is that I have a foot fetish, but she doesn't have nice feet. I think she has flat-foot and bunions, which of course leads to hardened skin.

For the first few months I didn't mind at all - it's like I lost my fetish temporarily. However recently I have been noticing it more, and I kind of miss being able to play with my girlfriend's feet (something I've often done in the past).

I'm confused about it :confused:.

You have to answer this question for yourself. How important are nice feet TO YOU? It can be a deal breaker, but only you know how important it is to you. If it is important enough to you to end the relationship, there's nothing wrong with that. You should enjoy being with your partner.

Some people might say it's shallow, but I don't agree - it's a preference. While perspectives of what's pretty and attrative varies by person, we all have the right to be with someone that we find attractive and to choose those traits that are important to us in another person.

There was someone that I dated for a while, but I just had to break up with them because I couldn't stand the way they smelled. It wasn't body odor or anything else that I could put my finger on - it was just a chemical mis-match between the two of us.

Here's a question? Is the overall look and shape of her feet that you don't like, or is it something that a regular pedicure can fix?

If it's not something that you can fix, then you'll have to decide if everything else about the relationship outweighs your lack of attraction to her feet... And that's a decision that only you can make.

And if it is something that can be fixed, then you can kill two birds with one stone by massaging her feet with lotion and cream and maybe using a pumice stone to get rid of any calloused areas. And maybe even paint her nails for her.... Damn, now I'm getting all excited thinking about a guy doing that for me. :D I better stop before I get too excited. But, like D&J said, if it's just not something that can be fixed, then it's just not right for you.
