How To Deal With General Stroppiness.

Men and women alike at some point go into a stroppy mood for all sorts of reasons, so i would like your best approach in how to deal with general stroppiness, for instance you've known this girl for about a month she gives all the signs that shes intrested, until one day for what ever reason shes got the hump. This is more aimed a women as there more emotional then men.

Do You

A) Keep asking her if shes ok

B) Try Harder To Impress Her

C) Keep Smiling And Let Her Emotions Run The Course

D) Ignore Her

Now i was faced with this exact dilemma only a few days ago, not knowing what i should do in this situation i adopted C (above). Was my approach correct? or should have i been more sympathetic towards her? The way i look at it is not to smuther a person when she is going through a emotional termoil, that tends to put pressure on the other person thus pissing them off even more. So i would like your views in how to deal with stroppiness in men and women.

Could this remain as a sticky please? ;)

Empathize with her...

When women go into a funk, they don't want the man in their life to try to 'fix' or 'solve' the problem. They simply want to feel heard and understood.

So first, ask her if she's ok and if not, does she want to talk about it.

If she does not want to talk about it - let her know that you're there if she does and leave her alone.

If she does want to talk about it, listen (learn to be a good listener). Empathize with her. If she says that this horrible thing happened - do not try to tell her that's it's not so bad! Instead, tell her that it really was horrible and that you're sorry she had to go through it. Make sense?

And most importantly - resist the urge to get sucked into a battle with her when she's in a funk... Even if she's really grumpy, learn when to keep quiet, don't say or do anything that you'll regret later...

Oh, and one more thing...

I know it's hard, but try to remember that we are all allowed to feel crappy, emotional, or just plain angry. We all want to make our partner feel better, but some times it's best just to let them feel how they feel... When they're ready to be happy again, they will be.

If she's unable to be turned on at your behest she probably needs to see a doctor for a prescription, afterall that's what is expected of men. And we're in the age of equality and fairness, and prescriptions certainly. So she might want to check for with her doctor for some Ketamine, phenobarbitol, hydrocodone, oxycontin, something like that. Don't let something like her sexual disfunction stand in the way of your relationship.
