I need help really quickly

My best friend is dating a guy called ben he is a complete a** to me and then when i tell my best friend she says omg why cant you leave him alone
he sucks up to her.. she cannot see from my point of view
he is trying to break me and her up
me and my best friend dated once and ended being dumped the day after due to. she thought i was going to change, she still wanted to be my friend then 1 year afterwards i realized i wanted to be with her for the rest of my life..
but the thing is we keep fighting and i keep promising that i wont i need help how can i win my best friend and make her realise he is a dick..
and how can i be nicer to her!
(ps she suffers from depression and can be in a touchy mood alot)
ive recently had a small fight over her protecting him..

It sounds like you have a bunch of conflicting interests here. You want to be with her. But she's with this other guy. Have you thought about the fact that he might sense that, and that's why he's a jerk to you?

Also, could it be that the real reason that you want them to break up is just so that YOU can be with her? Could it be that you might be overreacting to his attitude because you imagine that you could be a "better" match for her?

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, I'm just trying to bring out some points you should really think about.

It sounds like you're really not over her. And the bottom line is...

Is he a jerk to her?

If not, then it's really not your business whether they should stay together or not. This sounds like a jealousy issue for BOTH of you guys. And in the end, it's her decision.
