I think my dentist is giving me mixed signals because i think he flirts with me alot we always smile at each other and have lots of eye contact and one time when my session was done he touched my shoulder and smiled and said you did it! Since i had a root canal done that day. Then theres times when he touches my both cheeks just to tell me that he was going to take my back teeth out. Since i speak spanish and he also speaks some spanish he asked me in spanish what was the proper way to say to a woman that she is attractive. I dont know if he gave me an indirect comment there his assistant was there and she asked me if we were talking about her but she kinda laughed and i said no but he didnt even mention to her what he had asked me. Yesterday i went for my appointment i was sitting down and all of a sudden i felt his had on my shoulder he said hello to me after that we just started talking he asked me if i had any big plans for the summer and i said no but i told him i wanted to go back to puerto rico and he said ''that will be good that will be verry good''. I asked him back the same question he said he was going to a cabin that he has with his cousin and kids. Well after that i walked to the sink to rinse my mouth and i just felt his stare but after that he stood very close to me to get my bib off i just felt realy nervous about it. Could he be sexually attracted to me or was he being friendly or flirty??

Sounds like you need to either see another dentist or rethink what you are thinking. What is happening should be thought out carefully by you. If all is falling apart, then need to have a talk with your dentist and see whats going on with him.

So what do you think though is he interested or was he just flirting?

I sense this is the kind of guy who likes to flirt with many of the attractive female customers he gets. Also, even if he was interested in you, are you interested in him? I'm not sure how much spark there can be between you two if you're only seeing each other every 6 months. Unless you have to see the dentist more often than that?

well i was seeing him every week actually because i needed alot of work done with my teeth.

Mixed sinals indeed! I would be creeped out by this guy... unless you feel attracted to him. One suggestion would be to casually ask his hygenist/receptionist/other lady in the waiting room if his behavior is normal for him. He might just be one of those warm, touchy people, but at the same time it could be a red flag that he likes to make moves on his patients. You could also watch him with other female patients and see how he acts.

If I were you, I would pay attention to how he acts with other female customers. Some men are just like that! I think the things you described makes it sound like he is a naturally flirty guy, or just even a very, very nice denist who actually tries to care about his patients and make them feel like he is a friend. I think it could all be in your head - I do that sometimes when I get a crush. In my opinion, I wouldn't go changing dentists unless he is really making you feel uncomfortable, and if that is the case, TELL HIM, even in a letter. If he is losing female patients because he likes to be nice to them and care about their lives outside of his office, he should know. Personally I would never think a thing of it unless he really tried to make an obviously sexual move on me, in which case, way not cool! (uh.. unless hes hot!)

I'd get to know him a bit better before trying anything (this is assuming you would even want to), but if so do so with caution until you have learned that he actually safe. Do you feel creeped out?

I'm seeing a lot of red flags here. One, this is unprofessional conduct. Secondly, if he is attracted and doesn't just ask you out, there's a problem there. I don't like the standing too close thing. He's definitely hitting on you, but not being up front about it. I don't like the way this adds up at all. If you're feeling creeped out, you need to set boundaries with him or find another dentist.
