well actually, i don't think i ever have said thankyou to my fiance. now, when i do special favors for him, he always thanks me... but damn, i never thought of that before! lol
i thank him for back rubs and foot rubs or the dinner he bought that we couldn't really afford...

i am curious too! come on people, this is actually something that should be done. it shows you really enjoy what your partner does! i'm going to say this for my first time tonight! i wounder what his expreddion will be?

i dont think you really do thank your partner after sex, or foreplay or anything. reason being, it just awkward, and it puts your partner in a situation where he/she doesnt know what to say.

example, i come up to my partner and say 'i love you'. my partner returns to me and says 'thank you'.

if anything, just say something like 'that was amazing!' or 'i love what you did there andhere' and stuff

don't think i've ever said thank you...usually just an "i love you" and then cuddle up for bed.

I said thank you once, the first time, but she seemed to find that very akward, so I figured that's not something to say.

i chickened out in saying thankyou last night. i was going to, but he beat me to it!!! damn my luck! i felt awkward about saying it back to him!
it was great sex once again, and i didn't in the lease find it weird for him to thank me, but i did find it odd that he beat me to the punch...
i wounder...

Dan here. Hmmm.... I've started answering this post probably 3 times now, and got stuck right at the beginning each time. So let's try again.

On one hand, I don't personally do that, but that could have to do with my view of things, i.e. sex is an equal activity.

But on the other hand, (and I'm not going to go too metaphysical on anyone here), but showing gratitude and appreciation to your partner for the love and sexual gratification they bring you is a very powerful sentiment. and if we were going to go metaphysical, we'd say that by showing this gratitude you would be attracting "more of the same" into your life. ;)

Short answer I guess... I think it's fine either way, but actually saying something is probably better than not saying anything. It doesn't have to be "thank you" - I don't think, it's not the words that matter, and some words will be more awkward than others.

We all show our appreciation and gratitude in our own ways, and there's certainly nothing wrong with saying thank you, or perhaps saying "thank you for being part of my life". It's important I think for those who are special in our lives to know without a doubt that they are special to us.

OK, that was a little contorted, but it's as clear as it's gonna get tonight. :)

Yes, I sincerely thank each lover unless it's been a bad experience. By bad, I mean totally unenjoyable or selfish on his part. But if I've orgasmed or just enjoyed our moments together, then I tell him.

Whenever this happens to me, I reply, "The feeling is mutual" or "It was my pleasure, darling" or "Mmmm... you are most welcome." Actually, what a compliment that he even thought to say it!!
