No where else to turn to

To begin me and my girlfriend have been dating for a month now. We hug, hold hands, kiss each other, she knows I love her and such.

Now when I'm with her I don't really feel that special emotion. I cannot remember if I am supposed to have that tingling sensation when I'm with her because she is my first girl friend ever. I did have a close girl before and I think I did back then but nothing ever happened with me and her and I'm completely done with her.

I don't know if this is normal to feel nothing special at all, even when we kiss I don't feel that tingling sensation. I do care for her a lot and treat her well, and she does the same in return. Is there something wrong with me? (because I believe I think it should feel special.) or are there people like me out there because I have no clue at all.:(

I am usually erect when she touches me though, but I have no intentions of doing that at all any time soon or with her at all, because I respect and love her a lot.

I am also her first boy friend and the first person she has kissed in return.

Please send any help or comments back to me I would really appreciate it a lot.

I've had your same problem, not really feeling anything about the girl you are with. I do not know what it is, but you are not alone. My first girlfriend we dated for 6 months, but never kissed so i broke it off because we were in the friend zone. My latest girlfriend was the problem you have, there was just not that special something about kissing her. I cared for her, but did not feel that we were going to be together forever.

I hope that helps you feel a little bit better about yourself, knowing your not the other one that has had the same feelings as you do.

At least I'm not the only one, but I do feel that it will go far and that would be great.

Update: I did feel a bit special on New Years eve because she spent it at my house. She played with my hand and arm a bit, for some reason it was different and it made me feel special. So hopefully it will get better.

No problem. I kind of like helping others with dating and relationships. Before i read your post i thought i was the only one that felt that way, but im glad im not.

Thats great you want it to last, im sure things could change for the better as time goes on. It may just take a lot of time.

Im in a pickle myself with this woman. It is strange, but time will show what happens. It will most likely be nothing but i can always dream :)
