Hello,
I am a 19 year old freshman in university. About 3 months ago I started seeing this really nice but shy (yes, extremely shy) girl. We've been going out for 3 months now and it is the first relationship for both of us. But I haven't gotten the chance to land the first kiss. I kind of screwed up a month ago when I asked her whether I could kiss her at the ball/dance; hesitantly she answered no; telling me that it is too public and it would make her feel uneasy. She did however appreciate the fact that I asked and respected her personal space.
I felt relieved and a bit bad for her, seeing how I ruined the whole fairy tale expectation of a first kiss....
We do love each other, she texts me about how she loves me and collapses in my arms every time she sees me, we hold hands etc... :p
Ever since the time when I asked that question, I have a fear instilled within me of kissing her or even going for it. It has also been a tad difficult to find privacy within the campus, as both of our roommates are hermits, so staying out of the public is kind of hard.
Any tips or words of encouragement? I really feel that the first kiss will completely change a relationship and take it to a new level.
Thanks far in advance,
- Newbie :D
