This may true and if she's cute then it's reasonable to understand that you can't help but like her. However, you can't dwell on it and here's why:
You are make yourself needy by only pursuing that one woman, especially if she has already turned you down. You simply end up making yourself even less attractive than you already were, which in turn decreases your chances of ever hooking up with this one girl. I'm not saying it won't ever happen, but it certainly won't if turn into one of her orbiters.
Surely there are other cute girls in your area that you are attracted to. Pursue them, practice your skills, flirt, have conversations. If you do this, then it's possible that the original girl will realize what she is missing out on and then pursue you! And this is what you really want, because this gives you the upper hand.
