Should we be using condoms even though I'm on the pill?

I've been with my current boyfriend for about eight months now. After a few months we decided to have sex. We weren't using any form of birth control because I like to see him cum on me. I figured it wasn't doing any harm because he wasn't actually cumming in me and he didn't mind doing that to please me. After a breif and fortuneately unnessesary scare I decided to go on the birth control pill. We have been having sex since then and there haven't been any more frights but I am concerned that maybe the pill isn't enough. Should we be using condoms even though I'm on the birth control pill and will likely not get pregnant? We are really faithful so I don't think STDs are a problem. Other than extra protection against STDs is there any reason to be using a condom in my situation?

I think that pill should be all right in case both of you are healthy (have no STD) and monogamous, and if you take the pill exactly as you docotor told you.

okay i feel for you on this one because ive been there. my girl and i started off using just condoms then moved on to both now we just use the pill.

condoms are nice to use with birth control because neither one is full proof. there is always that 1 or 2% chance that something could happen. and yea i understand the whole "cumming on her" thing. thats a lot of fun for us too ;) but if thats the deal, have him take it off right before he does.. thats what i used to do. it only takes about a second or 2 to pull it off after he pulls out. so if its that big of an issue and you really want him to start wearing one, but you dont wanna lose out, give that a shot.

the only reason my girl and i stopped using condoms was because we stopped using them for a while, then when we went to again, they were too small for me.

and also, i would like to say that i am happy that you both are faithful and you dont have to worry about STDs, cause faithfulness is awesome and you never know whos got what nowadays

The pill i believe is 99.99% birth controlled, a condom varies, there is no harm in the extra protection, it could just very well save you from that .01% chance.
