What is the most common type of pick-up place?

I've attempted while I was at bars/clubs and of course that ended up in failure. I'm pretty sure I only did that because I was drunk and anybody who's been drunk knows that when alcohol is in your system, that girl who wasn't as a attractive when you're sober starts to look hot after a few drinks (haha!). Although the bar/club is not the best place to go to, in my opinion anyway, if you're looking for people who are somewhat decent. I'm not saying that everyone who goes there are lowlives or anything like that, just that most people who are there, men and women alike, are there with the mindset of having one night stands.

I've also tried hitting on waitresses when I'm at restaurants, again, those attempts ended up in failure. Though I'm not drunk when I'm at restaurants so I know when I see a pretty girl, it's not because the alcohol has influenced my judgment.

Some of my friends have been talking to me about trying to hook me up with somebody they know so we'll see how that goes.....or if it even happens!
