What to do for first timers?

Hey Dan and Jennifer

I love how you guys have come up with so many good answers that i just need some help on this one. I've been going out with my boyfriend for quite a while and i really like him...we love hanging out and have a lot of fun together. We have both talked about the topic of sex and agreed that we would wait until we are both ready (If we did it, we'd be each others first). Well its a good concept except that our hormones have not been working with us lately. My best friend tells me to get the "PILL" but the reason i haven't is so i didn't have a reason to do it with just anyone. I believe that is better to be safe then sorry! And I've been trying to get as much information as possible to be safe...we are both under 18 and have been talking about the possibility of having sex. I also told him to check out your website because its important to be informed about the safety.

Do you think is a good idea?

What would you advice for first timers?

Maybe anyones wants to add suggestions i would be grateful!!!!

My first question why is he telling you to get on the pill. Why not tell him he need to buy some rubbers. Same situation. Believe in what you are doing. When yopu are ready you will be ready for both of you, and not just on his terms. Sounds like he needs to get a grip on himself and wait for you. Above all do it when you are ready, and do not get pushed into it. Plus you need to be relaxed. Above all when you are ready make sure you taken care of the possibility of pregnancy.

Remember do it when you are ready, not his terms

My opinion is just to make sure that you are both ready for this, it is a very serious step in a relationship and ill have to say its very nice to hear a young couple concerned about the steps to take to be safe! Its very refreshing. My only advice would be to use condoms, and take birth control. Condoms can prevent pregnancy however they are made to protect you from STD and even though you both are virgins, there are some STDs you can get from a public toilet seat! ( always makes me wish I could stand up and pee) You can never be to safe.
However in the end its something you guys will have to decide together.
I do have a question and maybe I am reading this wrong but when you said.

“ My best friend tells me to get the "PILL" but the reason i haven't is so i didn't have a reason to do it with just anyone.” Just because your on the pill shouldn’t be a reason to do it with just anyone, being on the pill should just be a safety measure for when you find the one you want to be with, not the reason for it.

for the first person....
We both been talking about it and he's not what you would say "pressuring me." He actually bought a condom and said it was just a precaution. He told me that after we hung out together...then he was afraid that i would think he expected something out of that day so he just kept explaining why he did that...and thank you for your opinion...

second person...
You did read it right, the reason i put that the way i did was because many teens in my school did that mistake, toke the pill and the first person that came around the corner they had sex. I just didnt want to caught in that situation. Oh i didnt know that about the toilet's...thank you for that, and i see what your saying too...

any other advice you would like to add would be great....any one else is also welcome to.
