why am I attracted to older men?

so, Ive gotten a good amount of criticism from my girlfriends about my attraction to older men.
Iam 24 year old girl and am currently attracted to my 49 year old neighbor...is that weird?
My friends say I got bad 'daddy issues', I dont really agree.
My attraction to older guys isnt constant, I go out with guys in their 20's and find them just as attractive.
At the same time, Ive gotten asked out by a 40 yr. old and we got along great and had a nice time.
What have I learned from these experiences? I REALLY like older men.

My questions are: how would you define daddy issues? Is it just being attracted to older guys? Is it odd to really really want a guy 2x your age?

It kind of is wrong going after someone a lot older than you. But from what im getting is that the younger men are lacking something the older one's have. That would probably be their attitude and mind set. Being more responsible and mature might really peak your interests and that's what older men have. Younger men don't really get that right away and it usually take a longer time.

If you really want to go after older men, just be careful in what you do. There are a lot of weirdo's out there in the world.

I'm a 26 year old man and I've seen women in their 40s who are quite attractive. I haven't dated any of them but that doesn't mean I think they're any less hot. And nobody has told me that they think I have "mommy issues."

It sounds to me like what your friends are telling you are getting to you. Just remember that you're the one who's dating these older men, not your friends.
