I am expressive , but when it comes to sharing emotions, and being sensitive I am afraid . Men don't like to be vulnerable , men love having "quality traits" which they consider being strong, the woman feeling secure around the man.

When you consider it from a sexual aspect, sex is fairly physical for a man, he wants to come across confident, tuff, and he wants to carry himself in that way. A man knows that a woman is just as human as he is, but he wants to be the one that is wearing the pants. He fears that is what the woman wants, and in general most men tuffen up because its only natural for men to protect women .

Few men consider being open about their emotions, and feelings, to be a strong characteristic , because it opens us up to the world. It builds less of a front, less of an ego, less of a protective wall that pushes other men away from bruising our prides, egos.

Often it can even seem to be a lack of confidence, because its a lack of self control, if you can not , do not control your sensitive side, emotions .

All and all emotions are pretty , beautiful , men don't like to be beautiful , they like to be manly .

This is all entirely just my opinion

I WANT the emotions more than the physical and I'm not even gay.

I want the emotional connection. I want that felling of love and gentleness, the cuddling, the just being together in each others arms. i am not afraid of showing or telling you my emotions. I also don't BS anyone. I put myself out there.

I do this so that I can feel more comfortable and relaxed when it is time to get more physical and to have sex or just f**k. That my girl friend will understand that I am a virgin 9recurring theme) and don't have a clue, there for will be more forgiving when I mess up and put it in her belly button or her pooper :eek: the first time.

Exactly! I've never, and never will, see the point in a relationship based on sex more than emotions. Sure, sex is good, but anything relying on it is doomed to fail.

The emotional connection is more important than any other aspect of a relationship; wothout it, anything else is useless.
The irony: I've never put much stock in astrology, but I'm a cancer, and most of the information in that article was right-apart from the things about liking football and being patriotic.

I've never put a lot of faith in astrology. However, it is uncanny how closely the characteristics of Gemini describe me. Hummmm.

I have no problem expressing my emotions to my family or my love, but I also know when to show them and when to hide them based on the situation, equally, if they wish to express something emotionally to me, I like to sit and listen to what they have to say and give them support if/when they need it.

Sex is usually important in a relationship, but having an emotional connection and having the ability to share it is in some cases more important. I for one, prefer the later more because in a relationship, you tend to understand and get to know the person you're with more, know when they are upset and trying to hide it so you can reach your arms out to them and let them tell you what's on their mind, giving the ability to make them feel better.


My grandpa who taught me everything and I still greatly miss even though it's been nearly 11yrs, never cried or anything in front of me or anyone but my grandma and said that "you're only human, don't be a robot and bottle up emotions or blank out the one you love's when they need you the most...you can cry, you can feel pain, you just have to know when it's good to use and express them...use your instincts and do what you feel's right."

Very well put, MikeThePirate. Emotions are important, but there is a time you have to man up, put your game face on, and act as if they didn't exist. Can you imagine getting on an airplane with the pilot crying "I just can't do this" because of a fight with his girlfriend? Sometimes we just have to act in spite of our emotions.

Men are programmed to be action oriented. That was necessary to keep us alive in the cave-man days. That's why women should have girlfriends. For example, if a woman tells us she's hungry, we're not going to ask her how she feels about it. Our mind immediately turns to how to kill something and drag it back to the cave. If you live in a world where the only food is woolly mammoth then the men can't spend a lot of time fretting about how they feel. That's why men and women are designed to be complementary, not interchangeable.

Often when women criticize men for not being emotionally available, actually they're just doing what a man is built to do. A man can't take the place of girlfriends for a woman. Every woman needs girlfriends and every man needs guy friends.

Thank you Dan and Jennifer for submitting this article, i read it and the stuff on the Zodiac Signs really intruiged me. I found a lot of information out and thanks to you, i have educated myself in another aspect of my life.
